This notice explains what personal information OpenRealms collects when you visit our site or join our waitlist, how we use that information, and the rights you have regarding your data.
What We Collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect only your email address.
We record basic, aggregate site events, such as page visits and Discord invite clicks, together with the traffic source associated with your visit, when present in the link you followed or, failing that, derived from the referring site. These events are not tied to your email address or any other identifying information, and we do not use cookies, fingerprinting, or third-party advertising or analytics services to track you across the web. Your browser may keep the detected traffic source in session storage, local to your device, so it can be attached to a waitlist signup or Discord click made later in the same visit; it is cleared when you close the tab.
We do not enrich your profile using third-party data sources.
Bot and Abuse Prevention
To protect the waitlist from spam and automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. For more information, please refer to Cloudflare's privacy documentation .
How We Use Your Information
We use your email address solely for the purpose you explicitly consent to when joining the waitlist: notifying you when the OpenRealms becomes available.
We will not use your email address for marketing purposes, and we will not sell, share, rent, or sublicense your personal information to third parties.
Where Your Information Is Stored
Your email address is stored by our email service provider and in our production database.
Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest using industry-standard security measures.
How to Unsubscribe
After joining the waitlist, you will receive a confirmation email. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
If you unsubscribe, your email address and associated waitlist record will be permanently deleted.
You may also request deletion directly by contacting [email protected] , and we will process your request on your behalf.
Changes to This Notice
If we update this notice, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
We will notify you by email only if the changes materially affect how we collect, use, or protect your personal information.
